ABOUT US
Founded in the aftermath of World War I, the Legacy Veterans Institute was established with a profound commitment to serve every generation of veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. For over a century, LVI has remained a steadfast advocate for the unique challenges faced by those who wear the uniform, with a particular focus on advancing mental health support.
Through innovative peer-to-peer programs and broad community engagement, LVI actively works to break down the stigma surrounding mental health care, empowering veterans and service members to seek help and support. Our signature campaign, Be the One, rallies individuals and communities nationwide to join the vital mission of preventing veteran suicide.
At Legacy Veterans Institute, we honor the sacrifices of our nation’s defenders not only with respect but through concrete actions that foster healing, resilience, and lasting well-being.
